Job summary

Aramark Ireland in Athenry is seeking a Team Leader to oversee the shift in our on-site catering team. You will supervise the catering staff, ensure service standards, and support day-to-day operations to deliver high-quality food and service.

We are looking for a friendly, energetic leader with a track record in supervising fast-paced food service. This permanent role offers Meals provided, uniform and shoes, and opportunities for advancement within the company.

Qualifications

• Fluent English is required.
• Excellent customer service skills are essential.
• Experience merchandising brands and promotions is a plus.
• Previous supervisory or assistant manager experience in a fast-paced catering environment is required.
• Attention to detail and strong time management are crucial.
• Background in hospitality or catering is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in a supervisory role in a cafe/restaurant setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example in preparing high-quality products.

• Assist with stock control, deliveries, and waste reduction.
• Ensure health and safety and HACCP compliance.

YOUR ROLE

Aramark Food Services is currently recruiting for a Team Leader to join their team in Athenry. Reporting to the Unit Manager, this individual will have responsibility for leading the shift and assist supervising the catering services provided in the restaurant. If you have a passion for food and service and thrive on working in a team, then this might be the ideal job for you. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody with a proven track record in supervising a high-street deli bar or similar environment.

• This is a permanent role working 5/7 days per week**

Your Responsibilities

• Leading by example in preparing delicious, high-quality product.
• Supporting the day-to-day supervision of the catering team, ensuring standards are consistently met
• Supporting stock control, deliveries, and minimising waste
• Ensuring a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to all Health & Safety regulations
• Liaising with the Unit Manager and stepping up in their absence when required
• Assist in the training and development of the catering team
• Provide excellent customer service to all clients and customers
• Ensure Front of house areas are merchandised as per unit SOP's
• Ensure that the catering facility runs smoothly on a day to day basis
• Handle customer requests, feedback and complaints in a satisfactory manner
• Complete weekly bookwork as required
• Implement HACCP procedures and Health and Safety regulations
• Ensure that the highest standards of Health and Safety and HACCP are maintained in the catering facility
• Good leadership skills with a proven track record in supervision of junior administration staff.
• Ensure the smooth running of the department.

Requirements

You have:

• Fluent English
• Excellent customer Service skills
• Experience in merchandising, working with brands and promotions would be a distinct advantage
• Previous experience in a similar role in a fast-paced catering business
• Excellent Attention to detail
• Strong background in hospitality or catering is preferred
• Excellent time management skills
• At least 1 years' experience in a supervisory or assistant manager capacity in a high-end cafe/coffee shop or high street restaurant setting
• Problem-solving mind and solutions-orientated approach with a flexible can-do attitude
• Experience in cash handling, computer literate
