Job summary

Avoca is seeking a Team Lead for our Molls Gap location. This part-time role requires availability midweek and weekends, five days over seven, with immediate start.

You will support the management team and lead staff in your department when a manager is absent, upholding Avoca’s service standards. You will coach colleagues on tills, food safety, merchandising and customer service while ensuring brand consistency and compliance with health and safety policies.

Qualifications

• 3 - 5 years’ experience in a high-end customer facing retail business.
• Highly organized with an ability to multi-task, priorities and work to tight deadlines.
• Must be strategic, commercial minded with a clear vision and a passion for retail.
• Excellent customer service skills – the ability to go “above and beyond”.
• Be a creative and innovative thinker.
• Be a teamwork champion.
• Flexibility – roster changes and cover on days that are short-staffed.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for the wider management team and lead staff when managers are absent.
• Ensure high level of customer service across the store and handle complaints.
• Perform end-of-day cash handling and lodgement reporting; safe counts.
• Train and develop staff in tills, coffee, merchandising, HACCP/food safety.
• Manage supplier orders and maintain excellent relationships; create POs.
• Act as brand guardian and ensure displays meet Avoca standards.
• Drive innovation and support the team in the delivery of new concepts.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety and food safety.

Job Description

We are looking for a Team Lead in our Avoca Molls Gap location.

This is a part time role, 5 days over 7 per week, for immediate start. The suitable candidate needs to be available mid week and weekends.

Job Specification

The role of a Team Lead is to provide support for the wider management team, and to be a team lead for employees in your department when a manager is absent.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Customer Service – Ensure a high level of customer service is adhered to throughout the store, handle any customer complaints appropriately, escalating where necessary.
• Cash Management – Performing end of day cash and accurate lodgement reporting, safe counts and cash drops. Correct use of meridian to input cash/safe details.
• Staff training and development – ensuring all employees are adequately trained in areas such as tills, coffee training, merchandising, HACCP/Food safety etc.
• Order processing – adhering to order schedules and processes, from both internal and external suppliers, creating PO’s and maintaining excellent supplier relationships. Adhering to Avoca systems and procedures.
• Act as a brand guardian to ensure consistency across the breadth of our offering
• Drive innovation, embrace change and support the team in the delivery of new concepts
• Ensure retail visual merchandising and displays are in keeping with Avoca brand standards
• Full compliance with health & safety and Food Safety requirements throughout our operations
