Job summary

SimoTech is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to source, attract and manage niche engineering and life sciences professionals. You will build talent pipelines, engage passive candidates, partner with hiring managers and ensure an outstanding candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.

You will work in a rapidly growing team, delivering world-class recruitment solutions and supporting life sciences projects that improve health outcomes globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, Science, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
• 4+ years' experience in Talent Acquisition, Technical Recruitment, or Executive Search.
• Demonstrated success sourcing and recruiting niche technical, engineering, or life sciences talent.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for technical and engineering positions within the Life Sciences sector.
• Proactively source and engage high-calibre, hard-to-find technical talent using LinkedIn Recruiter, applicant tracking systems, networking, referrals, and other innovative sourcing strategies.
• Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for critical and future hiring needs across multiple client projects.
• Demonstrate persistence and creativity when identifying and engaging passive candidates in niche skill areas.
• Develop trusted relationships with hiring managers, candidates, and key stakeholders to understand hiring requirements and deliver recruitment solutions.
• Conduct detailed candidate screening and competency-based interviews, assessing technical capability, experience, and cultural fit.
• Present qualified candidates to hiring managers with clear and concise recommendations.
• Continuously research industry trends, talent landscapes, competitor activity, and market conditions to support proactive talent attraction strategies.
• Deliver a best-in-class candidate experience through clear, professional, and timely communication throughout the recruitment process.
• Maintain accurate candidate and recruitment data within ATS and reporting systems, ensuring a high level of data integrity and attention to detail.

Talent Acquisition Specialist

As SimoTech continues to grow, we are looking for a driven Talent Acquisition Specialist to help us hire exceptional engineering and life sciences talent. This role is suited to someone who combines persistence, curiosity, and strong attention to detail with a passion for building relationships and uncovering hard-to-find technical talent.

The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, and managing niche engineering and life sciences professionals throughout the recruitment lifecycle. You will play a critical role in building talent pipelines, engaging passive candidates, partnering with hiring managers, and ensuring an outstanding candidate experience from initial contact through to successful onboarding.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, Science, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
• 4+ years' experience in Talent Acquisition, Technical Recruitment, or Executive Search.
• Demonstrated success sourcing and recruiting niche technical, engineering, or life sciences talent.
• Strong knowledge of sourcing methodologies, talent mapping, Boolean searching, LinkedIn Recruiter, and applicant tracking systems.
• Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Resilient, driven, and self-motivated, with a proven ability to persevere and deliver results in competitive talent markets.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility and influence at all levels.
• Experience recruiting within the Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, or Engineering sectors would be a distinct advantage.
