Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience managing automation or controls projects in life sciences or regulated industries
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field; PMP certification is a plus
• Strong understanding of GxP, GMP, and FDA requirements

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams from conception through commissioning and validation
• Serve as primary client contact, aligning scope, deliverables, timelines and budget
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, cost control and change management for commercial success
• Develop commercial proposals, project plans, resources, schedules and risk management
• Support business development through client engagement and new opportunities
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to ensure seamless execution

SimoTech is seeking an experienced Automation Project Manager to join our EngineeringServices team to manage the delivery of automation projects within the life sciences sector.Reporting to the Senior Projects Manager, this role will be responsible for the planning, executionand control of automation initiatives for pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients. The idealcandidate will have a good technical knowledge of process automation (PLC/SCADA/DCS) andOperational Technologies (OT), excellent project management skills, and a client-first mindset.

KeyResponsibilities

• Leadcross-functional teams in the execution of automation projects from conception throughcommissioning and validation
  
• Serveas a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring alignment on scope, deliverables,timelines, and budget
  
• Manageproject budgets, forecasts, cost control and change management to ensure strongcommercial performance
  
• Developcommercial proposals, project plans, resource allocations, schedules, and risk managementstrategies. Track progress and ensure timely delivery
  
• Supportbusiness development activities through client engagement, identification of newopportunities, and input to new business proposals
  
• Collaboratewith automation SME’s and solution architects to ensure technical feasibility andcompliance with regulatory standards
  
• Coordinatewith internal teams, client stakeholders, and third-party vendors to ensure seamlessexecution
  
• Ensureall documentation meets quality and regulatory requirements, including validationprotocols and project lifecycle deliverables
  
• Identifyopportunities to improve project execution methodologies, and client delivery processes
  

Requirements

Key Requirements

• 6+ yearsof experience managing automation or controls projects, in the life sciences or regulatedindustries
  
• Bachelor’sdegree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field. Formal project managementcertification or PMP certification is an advantage
  
• Strongunderstanding of GxP, GMP, and FDA requirements
  
• Familiaritywith automation platforms such as Rockwell, Siemens, DeltaV, SCADA applicationsand OT Infrastructure is required
  
• Provenproject management and team leadership capabilities.
  
• Excellentcommunication, client-facing, and negotiation skills.
