Job summary

PFH Technology Group is seeking an experienced Systems Analyst to bridge business requirements and technical specifications, working with stakeholders, development teams and solution architects to ensure successful delivery of critical systems.

The candidate will gather user requirements, draft artefacts such as data dictionaries, API guides and release notes, and support Architects throughout enterprise solution delivery in a dynamic, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as Systems Analyst or similar role.
• Intermediate Resource level experience.
• Level 8 qualification in computing/computational modules.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently and in multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Gather user requirements and translate into clear, testable user stories aligned to business needs.
• Develop project artefacts including Data Dictionaries, API Guides and Release Notes.
• Document best practices and procedures for the Systems Analyst role.
• Support Solution/Technical Architects in defining and documenting Technical Architecture.
• Review third-party artefacts and provide feedback.
• Support Development and QA teams during solution development and testing.
• Work with databases and relational data design (MySQL, MariaDB, MS SQL).
• Knowledge of JSON and XML formats.

PFH Technology is seeking an experienced Systems Analyst to play a key role in understanding business requirements and translating them into technical specifications. The successful consultant will bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions, working closely with stakeholders, development teams and solution architects to ensure successful delivery of business-critical systems.

Experience & Qualifications:

• 5+ years relevant professional experience as a Systems Analyst or similar role.
• Equivalent of an Intermediate Resource level experience.
• Level 8 qualification on the National Framework of Qualifications with computing/computational modules taken in the final year (mandatory).
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently and within multi-disciplinary teams.

Key Experience / Competencies / Skillsets Experience:

• Experience gathering user requirements and translating them into user stories, ensuring they are clear, testable and aligned to business needs.
• Experience developing project artefacts including Data Dictionaries, API Guides and Release Notes.
• Experience documenting best practices and procedures relating to the Systems Analyst role.
• Experience providing support to Solution Architects and Technical Architects in defining and documenting Technical Architecture.
• Experience reviewing third-party artefacts and providing appropriate feedback.
• Experience supporting Development and QA teams during solution development and testing.
• Knowledge of databases and relational data design using MySQL, MariaDB and MS SQL.
• Knowledge of JSON and XML text formats.

• Experience working within Public Sector or highly regulated environments.
• Experience supporting business-critical systems and digital transformation initiatives.
• Experience collaborating with Solution Architects and Technical Architects on enterprise solution delivery.
• Experience creating technical artefacts such as process flows, UML diagrams, data models and workflow documentation.
• Experience working with Agile delivery teams and supporting Development and QA functions.
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture principles and solution design methodologies.
• Experience working with API integrations and documenting API specifications.
• Familiarity with project planning, budgeting, resource planning and implementation activities.
• Experience analysing and improving business processes through technology solutions.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and application architecture.
