Job description

PFH Technology is seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect to design and implement technical solutions that align with business and technology objectives. The successful consultant will provide technical leadership, architectural governance, strategic direction and solution design expertise across enterprise-scale, mission-critical solutions.

Experience & Qualifications

• 7+ years of extensive professional experience in their specialised field.
• Strong theoretical base with the ability to apply best practice principles to complex technology challenges.
• Experience leading complex projects and programmes.
• Responsible for leading high performing technical teams and coordinating specialist contributions.
• Level 8 qualification on the National Framework of Qualifications with computing/computational modules taken in the final year (mandatory).

Key Experience / Competencies / Skillsets

Experience

• Experience in the design and implementation of enterprise-grade, high-performance, mission-critical applications and solutions including public websites, customer portals, CRM, document management and telephony solutions.
• Strong understanding of Cloud Native Architectures (SaaS, PaaS, iPaaS, Containers, Kubernetes, Docker, Serverless and CI/CD).
• Excellent knowledge of relational databases including MS SQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Postgres and Dataverse.
• Front-end technologies including ReactJS, VueJS, Angular, Power Portals and UI Frameworks.
• Back-end technologies including Java, Spring and .NET (C#, VB.NET).
• Integration technologies including microservices, web services, event queues, message queues and integration services.
• Experience designing workflow automation and low-code/no-code solutions using Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, Power Apps or equivalent technologies.
• Thorough understanding of Application Security Models.
• Working knowledge of Linux operating systems including AlmaLinux, CentOS and RedHat.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Experience in DevOps, Source Control, Continuous Integration, Infrastructure Automation and Continuous Deployment using Azure DevOps.
• Strong knowledge of Architectural Design Patterns.
• Strong communication skills in both technical and non-technical environments.
• Ability to quickly research and learn new technologies, tools and techniques.
• Ability to lead teams.
• Ability to lead technology selection.
• Design and implement technical solutions aligned with business and technology objectives.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert for technology decisions, challenges and conflicts.
• Translate business requirements into technical architecture artefacts, diagrams, functional specifications and technical requirements.
• Ensure alignment with architectural standards, principles and recognised design patterns.
• Refine and maintain the Target Technical Architecture.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams and systems analysts.
• Support technical design, work package definition and development effort estimation.
• Conduct code and design reviews to ensure adherence to architectural standards.
• Support project planning, estimation, budgeting and implementation activities.
• Monitor risks and provide mitigations and resolutions.
• Review third-party technical documentation, deliverables and estimates.
• Provide stakeholder engagement, technical governance and project support throughout the solution lifecycle.
