Job summary

Jones Engineering Manufacturing Ltd. is seeking an experienced Surveyor with an electrical bias to join our in-house design team at our Co. Carlow facility. The role focuses on cost control, contract management and supplier coordination within a modular construction context.

Based in Bagenalstown, Carlow, you will contribute to multi-disciplinary project delivery, leveraging strong IT and analytical skills, while supporting chartership progression in-house.

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying or Engineering is essential.
• Minimum 3+ years' experience post-qualification in an Electrical contracting environment.
• Experience in modular build sector is advantageous.
• Strong technical ability with understanding of Electrical services.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Join in-house multidiscipline design team and support electrical QS activities.
• Manage suppliers and sub-contractors to deliver on project timelines.
• Ensure accurate measurement, cost control and reporting.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to support project delivery.

Job Description

Based out of our permanent Manufacturing Facility in Co. Carlow, and due to our continued expansion, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with an Electrical bias to join and play a pivotal role within our in-house multidiscipline design team.

Jones Engineering Manufacturing Ltd. is a provider of bespoke modular solutions (packaged plant rooms, skids and conveyances) to the Life Sciences, Data Centre and Energy industries.

Skills/ Requirements

• Relevant third level qualification essential – Quantity Surveying / Engineering.
• Experience working within the modular build sector would be advantageous.
• Minimum 3+ years' experience post qualification in an Electrical contracting environment.
• Strong technical ability and understanding Electrical services essential.
• Ability to work both individually and as part of a multi-functional team.
• Excellent Analytical & IT Skills essential.
• Excellent communication and organisation skills essential
• Experience in management of suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Salary will be in line with qualifications and experience.
