Job summary

Jones Engineering Manufacturing Ltd, based in Co. Carlow, requires an Electrical Quantity Surveyor to join our in-house multidiscipline design team on projects across Ireland from our Carlow facility.

The successful candidate will hold a third level QS/Engineering qualification, 3+ years post-qualification experience in electrical contracting, strong IT and analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team. Chartership training is available in-house.

Qualifications

• Relevant third level qualification essential – Quantity Surveying / Engineering.
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience post qualification in an Electrical contracting environment.
• Strong technical ability and understanding Electrical services essential.
• Good understanding of construction contracts & methods of measurement.
• Facility to gain chartership status available in-house.

Responsibilities

• Join our in-house multidiscipline design team as Electrical Quantity Surveyor.
• Manage suppliers and sub-contractors and ensure cost control.
• Provide cost estimation, measurement and value engineering support.

Based out of our permanent Manufacturing Facility in Co. Carlow (Jones Engineering Manufacturing Ltd), due to our continued expansion we are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Quantity Surveyor to join and play a pivotal role within our in-house multidiscipline design team.

Jones Engineering Manufacturing is a provider of bespoke modular solutions (packaged plant rooms, skids and conveyances) to the Life Sciences, Data Centre and Energy industries.

Due to continued expansion, Jones Engineering require a Electrical Quantity Surveyor for projects based in Carlow, Ireland.

Skills/ Requirements

• Relevant third level qualification essential – Quantity Surveying / Engineering.
• Experience working within the modular build sector would be advantageous.
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience post qualification in an Electrical contracting environment.
• Strong technical ability and understanding Electrical services essential.
• Ability to work both individually and as part of a multi-functional team.
• Excellent Analytical & IT Skills essential.
• Excellent communication and organisation skills essential
• Experience in management of suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Salary will be in line with qualifications and experience.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under strict deadlines is essential.
