Job summary

Depaul Ireland is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our multidisciplinary team in Dublin. You will provide personal care and support, promote residents’ dignity, and assist with daily living activities in a harm-minimising framework.

You will enable residents to manage their own lives, monitor hydration and nutrition, and uphold infection control standards across shifts. Strong team collaboration and adherence to procedures are essential.

Qualifications

• Third level qualification or QQI Level 5 in social care is required.
• Experience in service user activity planning is desirable.
• Experience of lone working or off-site working is an advantage.
• Good working knowledge of risk assessment processes and systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support with hygiene in line with Depaul standards.
• Promote residents' independence and dignity through holistic care.
• Prompt residents to take medications as directed by nursing staff.
• Assist with morning routines, dressing, and incontinence management.
• Monitor for pressure areas and apply prevention measures as needed.
• Maintain infection control and a clean, safe living environment.
• Support residents with hydration and nutrition and food storage.
• Liaise with Shift Coordinator and participate in handovers.
