Job summary

Muiriosa Foundation Ltd in Laois is seeking Support Workers to help individuals realise a good life through person-centred approaches, in line with personal interests, skills, will and preference. Qualifications

• FETAC/QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support/Health Service Skills, or equivalent; Or willingness to undertake QQI Level 5 training.
• Ability to use own initiative and plan effectively.
• Experience/knowledge of supporting persons with a range of support needs.
• A valid licence to drive a manual vehicle in Ireland.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong initiative and creativity.
• Flexibility and willing to undertake roster covering various locations.
• Please note that the successful candidate will be required to be available for any shifts within the Day Services. In addition, we require staff members to be willing to work alone on occasion supporting service users within their community.

Relief (If And When Required)

We are looking to recruit support workers to work in our Laois Day Services. The successful applicants will have the opportunity to support individuals to be more independent in and to assist them to make connections and develop relationships within their local community. We are looking for support workers who are motivated, enthusiastic and creative.
