Job summary

Health Service Executive in Ireland is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our Laois Day Services. The successful candidate will support individuals with intellectual disabilities to develop independent living skills, participate in community activities and promote health and wellbeing.

We require a QQI Level 5 qualification, knowledge of New Directions Interim Standards and Person-Centred Support Plans, and a valid manual driving licence.

Qualifications

• Relevant QQI Level 5 qualification.
• Knowledge of New Directions Interim Standards and Person Centred Support Plans.
• Valid manual driving licence in Ireland.
• Experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism; strong organisational, logistical and IT skills.

Muiriosa Foundation are recruiting for the position of Support Worker to work as part of a dynamic team supporting in our Day Services in Laois.
The successful candidates will be provided with the opportunity to support individuals with independent living skills, community inclusion and the promotion of their personal health and wellbeing.
We are looking for ambitious and enthusiastic Support Workers to support, encourage and motivate individuals to lead a fulfilling life. We expect candidates to have a relevant QQI Level 5 qualification.
Knowledge of New Directions Interim Standards and Person Centred Support Plans. To have a valid licence to drive a manual vehicle in Ireland.
Experience of supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism, excellent organisational, logistical and I.T skills an advantage, lone working/Individual Support & the ability to work as part of team.
Experience of working with people with a range of support needs to include behaviours of concern.
