Job summary

SpringCare Independent Living Limited is seeking a caring, motivated Support Worker to join the Independent Living Unit. This role focuses on helping adults live as independently as possible in a community-based setting, while upholding dignity and inclusion.

You will provide person-centred care, assist with daily tasks, support with budgeting, and accompany residents on activities as needed. Prior residential care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation.
• Experience in a residential care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support that promotes independence and dignity.

• Offer emotional support and companionship, encouraging community involvement and social connections.
• Administer medication safely and document all care provided using the required systems.
• Contribute to developing and reviewing individual support plans and act as Key Worker when needed.
• Support residents with budgeting, banking, and maintaining everyday living skills.
• Accompany individuals on holidays or outings when required.
• Work flexibly, use initiative, and maintain positive relationships with families, services, and professionals.
• Help ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient running of the home.

• Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings if required.
