Job summary

Muiríosa Foundation is recruiting a Social Care Worker to join our Tipperary Residential Services in Moyne and Ardfinnan. You will support individuals with independence, community inclusion and wellbeing in both individual and group settings.

The role includes day/evening/overnights (sleepovers and waking nights) with a 60-hour fortnight contract. Candidates must have a Level 7 Diploma in Social Care (or equivalent CORU approved) and CORU registration or in process, plus a manual driving licence

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HIQA Standards.
• Experience with intellectual disability and/or autism.
• Suitability as outlined in the introduction to the role.
• A valid driving licence to drive a manual vehicle in Ireland.
• Minimum basic level IT Skills.

Currently we employ over 1,700 staff and support people in Laois, Offaly, Westmeath, Meath, Longford, Kildare, Tipperary, Kilkenny. We provide supports through the Regional structure and the Person Centred Wing . Each region exercises a high level of devolved autonomy across all major operational functions including residential homes

SOCIAL CARE WORKER

TIPPRARY RESIDENTIAL SERVICES

(Contract hours 60 hours per fortnight)

We are recruiting for a Social Care Worker to join us in our Tipperary Residential Services. We have services in Moyne and Ardfinnan, Tipperary.

The successful candidate will be provided with the opportunity to support individuals with independent living skills, community inclusion and the promotion of their personal health and wellbeing. Our wide variety of services provide full time residential support to individuals with physical and/or intellectual disabilities/autism in both individualized and group settings.

The shift patterns include day/evening/overnight (sleepovers and waking night duty)

Requirements

• Relevant recognised Diploma in Social Care / Applied Social Studies in Social Care/Disability/social Care Practice (Level 7 on National Framework of Qualifications) which are CORU approved. Please note Social Care candidates must be registered with or in the process of registering with CORU
• A valid driving licence to drive a manual vehicle in Ireland.
• Experience of supporting adult with intellectual disabilities/autism.
• Knowledge of HIQA Standards.
• Good connections in the local community an advantage.
• Ability to use own initiative and plan effectively.
• Minimum basic level IT Skills, using email, word doc and systems.
• Suitability as outlined in the introduction to the role
