Muiriosa Foundation Ltd in Laois is seeking Support Workers to help individuals realise a good life through person-centred approaches, in line with personal interests, skills, will and preference. The role involves supporting independence, helping service users connect with their local community, and working flexible rosters across Day Services; driving a manual vehicle in Ireland is required.

Essential qualifications include QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support or willingness to undertake training,

Competenze

FETAC/QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support/Health Service Skills, or equivalent; Or willingness to undertake QQI Level 5 training.
Ability to use own initiative and plan effectively.
Experience/knowledge of supporting persons with a range of support needs.
A valid licence to drive a manual vehicle in Ireland.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong initiative and creativity.
Flexibility and willing to undertake roster covering various locations.
Please note that the successful candidate will be required to be available for any shifts within the Day Services. In addition, we require staff members to be willing to work alone on occasion supporting service users within their community.
