Job summary

Muiríosa Foundation is recruiting a Support Worker for Offaly Day Services. The role is 70 hours per fortnight, permanent part-time, based in Offaly with duties spanning assisting individuals to live independently, promoting wellbeing, and encouraging community inclusion.

Requirements include a HSE QQI Level 5 Major Award or willingness to complete, a valid manual driving licence, and basic IT skills. We operate in several Offaly locations including Tullamore and Edenderry.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of New Directions.
• Ability to drive a manual vehicle in Ireland.
• Experience supporting adults with intellectual disability/autism.
• Basic IT skills (email, word processing).
• HSE QQI Level 5 qualification or willingness to complete.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with independent living skills and community inclusion.
• Promote personal health and wellbeing of service users.
• Work as part of a dynamic team in Day Services in Offaly.

SUPPORT WORKER

OFFALY DAY SERVICES

We are recruiting for a position of Support worker to work as part of a dynamic team supporting in our Day Services in Offaly.

The successful candidate will be provided with the opportunity to support individuals with independent living skills, community inclusion and the promotion of their personal health and wellbeing.

We have many Day Services throughout Offaly including Tullamore, Ballycumber, Clara and Edenderry.

We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Support Worker to support, encourage and motivate individuals to lead a fulfilling life.

Requirements:

HSE recognised Fetac/QQI Level 5 Major award or willinghness to complete.

• A valid driving licence to drive a manual vehicle in Ireland.
• Knowledge of New Directions
• Experience of working with people with a range of support needs to include behaviours of concern.
• Ability to use own initiative and plan effectively.
• Minimum basic level IT Skills, email, basic word doc, systems.
• Suitability as outlined in the introduction to the role.

HSE PAYSCALE:

Support worker €34,881 to €48,434
