We are partnering with a well-established FMCG business to appoint a Supply Chain & Optimisation Manager into a key role within its operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced supply chain professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where planning, data, commercial decision-making and operational execution are closely connected.

Operating within a high-volume, short shelf-life environment, the role will have a major influence on ensuring the right product is available at the right time while balancing service, waste, cost and overall business performance.

The successful person will work across supply chain, production and commercial teams, using live sales and operational data to support better planning and faster decision-making.

The role will include:

• Managing and continuously optimising supply and demand across a complex distribution network.
• Leading production planning and helping ensure availability is maximised while waste and cost are carefully controlled.
• Using customer, sales and operational data to identify trends, challenge assumptions and improve decision-making.
• Acting as an important link between commercial and manufacturing teams to ensure strong alignment across the business.
• Developing short and medium-term forecasting and planning processes.
• Supporting B2B manufacturing activity
• Playing an active role in a wider data and business transformation programme.
• Identifying root causes behind performance issues and helping develop practical, commercially focused solutions.

About you

We are looking for someone with experience in a senior supply chain, planning, demand planning or optimisation role, ideally within FMCG, food manufacturing or another fast-moving environment.

You will be highly analytical and naturally comfortable working with numbers and data, but equally important will be your ability to communicate, influence and work across different functions.

You are likely to be someone who:

• Has experience managing complex supply chain or planning processes.
• Understands forecasting, demand planning and production planning.
• Can translate data into clear commercial and operational decisions.
• Is comfortable challenging existing thinking when appropriate.
• Has strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Is pragmatic, hands-on and comfortable working in a changing environment.
• Enjoys solving problems and improving how a business operates.
