TES Recruitment is assisting a Dublin-based food manufacturing site in finding an Operations Support Manager to partner with the Operations Manager on strategy, performance, and continuous improvement. The role focuses on manufacturing operations, production planning, warehousing, CapEx projects, and ongoing improvement initiatives to meet customer SLAs.

It requires a minimum of 5 years in a senior food manufacturing role with team leadership, production planning, and proven SLA delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior position in a food manufacturing organisation.
• Team management and development experience is essential.
• Production planning experience is essential for this role.
• Strong track record of meeting business and customer SLAs in a similar type of role.
• A qualification in a relevant discipline is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• To work with the Operations Team to drive the manufacturing plant efficiently.
• Responsible for driving the operation on the manufacturing floor forward.
• Daily tracking of the production planning and developing new production plans in accordance with production needs.
• Responsible for the setting of the KPI structure for the team and driving performance to meet that KPI structure.
• Drive operational excellence initiatives onsite to enhance the operation.
• Develop individualised development plans for the team to strengthen the overall skill set onsite.
• Develop a customer centric culture within the team to strengthen delivery for the customer base.
• Always drive a culture of H&S and Quality onsite.

Operations Support Manager – for Food Manufacturing Site – Dublin

This excellent Food Manufacturing operation is based in Dublin and due to growth of the business, they are looking to appoint a new strategic role to the business, an Operations Support Manager, to help drive the site. The role is a busy position that is very focused on driving strategy, performance, and continuous improvement for the operation.

The core focus of this role is to work with the Operations Manager, to support the entire operation function, with a core focus on the manufacturing operations and production planning. Other areas that this role will work with are warehousing, CapEx project management and continuous improvement initiatives, and any other important matters that may arise.

Operational standards, manufacturing output, and strategic initiatives are a core focus for business growth for this operation, therefore this position is responsible for driving and developing the performance onsite with the senior management team, to meet required SLAs agreed with the customer base.

Key Responsibilities:
