Job summary

BMS Performance Ireland is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to oversee procurement, planning and material management for a busy manufacturing operation. You will lead procurement and planning teams, drive supplier performance, cost savings and ensure on-time delivery in a fast-paced environment.

The role reports to the Operations Manager and requires experience in manufacturing, strong leadership, and ERP expertise (Epicor).

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a senior procurement or supply chain role.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• ERP systems experience (Epicor preferred).
• Strong negotiation and commercial skills.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office skills.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Supply Chain Manager will oversee procurement, planning and material management activities to ensure customer requirements are met while maintaining cost efficiency and supply continuity.

• Lead and manage the procurement and planning teams


• Work closely with production and sales teams to ensure on-time delivery


• Negotiate with suppliers to secure best value and drive cost savings


• Manage raw material purchasing and supply chain performance
  
• Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement initiatives


• Resolve supplier and material-related issues alongside quality and operations teams


• Maintain ERP accuracy and support inventory planning activities


• Contribute to wider business and operational decision-making

THE PERSON

This role will suit an experienced procurement or supply chain professional looking to take ownership of a critical business function. Candidates from manufacturing, industrial, engineering or production environments are all encouraged to apply.

• Background as a Supply Chain Manager, Procurement Manager, Purchasing Manager, Materials Manager or Lead Buyer


• Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior procurement, planning or supply chain role


• Experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment


• Proven people management and leadership experience


• Strong supplier negotiation and commercial skills


• Experience working with ERP systems, ideally Epicor


• Advanced Microsoft Excel and MS Office skills


• Professional procurement or supply chain qualifications would be advantageous
