Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is assisting a manufacturing client in North Dublin to appoint a senior Purchasing & Supply Chain lead. You will drive purchasing, demand planning, inventory optimisation, supplier management and IBP/S&OP across the business to optimise service, costs and working capital.

You will lead the team, set strategic direction, collaborate with Sales, Operations and Finance, and implement digital planning tools and best practices to sustain growth and resilience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in senior Purchasing, Procurement or Supply Chain Management position.
• Experience within manufacturing, engineering or distribution environments.
• Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management and inventory optimisation.
• Strong experience in demand planning, forecasting and supply chain performance management.
• Practical knowledge of S&OP and working capital optimisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the Purchasing & Supply Chain team, creating a culture of accountability, continous improvement and high performance.
• Develop and execute purchasing and supply chain strategies that support growth and operational excellence.
• Act as a key contributor to the wider Operations Leadership Team.
• Own and continuously improve the demand planning and forecasting process.
• Collaborate with commercial teams across Ireland and the UK to align supply with demand.
• Lead the ongoing development and optimisation of planning systems.
• Drive adoption of digital planning tools and best-practice processes.
• Develop and embed robust S&OP and IBP processes across the business.
• Lead all purchasing activities and build strategic supplier relationships.
• Strengthen supplier performance via defined KPIs and improvements.

Excellent role for someone with Purchasing and Supply Chain Management experience, based with a manufacturing company in North Dublin. This is a high impact role offering the opportunity to influence business strategy, lead transformational change and drive operational excellence across the company. You will be responsible for developing and executing purchasing and supply chain strategies that ensure security of supply, optimise inventory investment, strengthen supplier partnerships and support continued business growth.

The successful candidate will lead purchasing and demand planning activities, balancing customer service, working capital and procurement costs while driving continuous improvement across forecasting, inventory optimisation, supplier performance and supply chain planning.

Purchasing&SupplierManagement

• Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships to improve quality, service, delivery performance and cost effectiveness.
• Manage supplier performance through clearly defined KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.

Inventory&SupplyChainPerformance

• Optimise inventory levels while ensuring exceptional customer service and product availability.
• Monitorstockvalue,stockturns,workingcapitalandforecastaccuracy.
• Reduce slow-moving, obsolete and excess inventory through effective planning and cross-functional collaboration.
