Job summary

Collins McNicholas Recruitment is partnering with a North Dublin manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager. You will lead procurement, forecasting, inventory management and supplier performance to ensure continuity of supply and drive improvements across the organisation.

The role reports to the Operations leadership team and requires collaboration across operations, sales, finance and warehouse teams to support growth and resilience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior Purchasing, Procurement or Supply Chain Management role within manufacturing, engineering or distribution.
• Proven experience in strategic purchasing, supplier relationship management, demand planning and inventory management.
• Strong understanding of forecasting, S&OP and supply chain planning principles.
• Experience using ERP systems and demand planning or inventory optimisation software.
• Excellent analytical, commercial and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proactive, results-driven with experience leading change and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing and supply chain strategies to support business objectives.
• Lead and develop the purchasing and supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
• Manage demand planning, forecasting and inventory optimisation to balance customer service levels with working capital.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, monitoring supplier performance and identifying opportunities for cost savings and service improvements.
• Lead purchasing activities including replenishment planning, supplier scheduling and inbound supply management.
• Drive improvements in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes and support the implementation of planning and inventory management systems.
• Monitor key supply chain KPIs, using data and analysis to improve operational performance and decision-making.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to improve OTIF performance, manage stock levels and support new product introductions.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen supply chain resilience and minimise supply risk.
