Responsibilities

  • Welcome new students and support inductions, orientations and tours.
  • Be the main contact for students, supporting courses, accommodation, wellbeing and inquiries.
  • Resolve student queries and complaints to support satisfaction and retention.
  • Maintain accurate student records (attendance, contact details, course changes, IDs, visas).
  • Provide guidance on studying and living in Ireland (visas, banking, PPS).
  • Manage reception duties (phone, walk-ins, visitors, payments).
  • Coordinate student holiday requests with Academic Department.
  • Oversee weekly student activities and excursions, encouraging participation.
  • Support student wellbeing and escalate sensitive issues when needed.
  • Collaborate with academic and operational teams on activities and socials.

English Path is a rapidly growing international language school delivering immersive English, French, and German learning experiences across the UK, Europe, North America, and the Middle East.

About the Role:

The Student Experience Officer is a customer-service role that represents the first point of contact for students, staff and visitors, assisting with all aspects of administrative support for English Path. A member of the Student Experience team, the Officer is available at all times for current or prospective students with general enquiries. The role will also focus on ensuring students are in accommodation that best matches their needs and nurturing strong relationships between the school and all stakeholders. You will be responsible for seeking out areas where the school could improve on its service delivery proposition and driving and implementing change.

This role is based fully On-site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome new students and support the delivery of inductions, orientations and school tours.
  • Act as a key point of contact for students, providing support with courses, accommodation, wellbeing and general enquiries.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, resolving student queries and complaints promptly and supporting student satisfaction and retention.
  • Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, contact details, course changes, ID, visa and immigration documentation.
  • Provide practical guidance on studying and living in Ireland, including visas, banking, PPS information and other administrative requirements.
  • Manage reception duties, including telephone and walk-in enquiries, visitors, payments and general school administration.
  • Coordinate student holiday requests with the Academic Department, ensuring relevant requirements and approvals are met.
  • Oversee the weekly student activity and excursion programme, developing engaging activities and encouraging student participation.
  • Support student wellbeing, identifying concerns and escalating sensitive or complex matters appropriately.
  • Work collaboratively with academic and operational teams, supporting school activities, social media content and wider administrative requirements.
  • Relevant experience within the Education sector (desirable).
  • Experience working in a Customer Service role (essential).
  • Fluent in English (essential) and another language language-e.g. Portuguese (desirable).
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • Professional telephone manner combined with a high level of spoken and written English.
  • Excellent team worker with the ability to negotiate and compromise whilst considering the views of others.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and a methodical approach.
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver against a number of priorities.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
  • Ability to find and present solutions to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to demonstrate international and cultural sensitivities.
