Job summary

Cambridge Education Group seeks a Centre Director for OnCampus Ireland, Maynooth. The role is full-time and permanent, reporting to the CEO OnCampus Ireland, with responsibility for performance, operations, and student experience across the centre.

You will lead staff, manage budgets, and work to maximise student progression and partner relations, ensuring compliance with QQI and other bodies while delivering an exceptional student journey.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree / NFQ Level 8 or 9 essential
  • Postgraduate qualification (e.g. PGCE, MBA) essential
  • Extensive experience in a senior leadership role in an academic environment essential
  • 3+ years of secondary, further or higher education teaching experience essential
  • Curriculum design and programme management experience essential
  • Understanding of EU and Irish higher education and international student needs essential
  • Creative approaches to developing opportunities in higher education essential

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high performance across all Centre functions: academic success, progression to partner, student satisfaction, staff engagement and financial performance.
  • Be accountable to the CEO for centre performance and ensure KPIs are met and exceeded; embed OnCampus policies and external requirements.
  • Develop, motivate, manage and appraise management staff to reach objectives and potential.
  • Lead annual budget development and Centre-level reforecasting activities.
  • Contribute to sales and marketing activities to strengthen relationships with partners, agents and students

Job description

We are currently looking for a Centre Director to join OnCampus Ireland, Maynooth.

The role will be on a full-time, Permanent basis.

The Centre Director is required to:

Deliver high levels of performance across all Centre functions, including academic success, progression to partner, student satisfaction, staff engagement and financial performance- build on the relationship with the partner and affiliate universities to maximise student progression and identify opportunities for further collaboration.

Be accountable to the CEO OnCampus Ireland (and other senior managers as directed) for the performance of all activities of the centre and ensure performance standards and KPIs are continuously met and exceeded- embed procedure, policies and requirements of OnCampus and all relevant external bodies, e.g. QQI, ILEP, IEM, TU Dublin, local immigration, and support an excellent student experience.

To develop, motivate, manage and appraise, management staff to achieve both their objectives and their full personal potential.

To support the development of the annual budget in line by leading Centre level work and participating in all centre level budget reforecasting activities.

To contribute to and, as required, participate in the Company’s sales and marketing activities to develop and strengthen the relationships between the Company and its current and potential partners, agents and students

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree / Degree Qualified at NFQ Level 8 or 9 (essential)

Experience
  • Extensive experience in a senior leadership role in an academic environment. (essential)
  • 3+ years of secondary, further or higher education teaching experience (essential)

  • An understanding of EU, Irish higher education and the needs and requirements of international students (essential).
  • A track record of creative approaches to developing and exploiting opportunities in higher education or related sectors (essential).
