Job summary

Trinity College Dublin’s Student Counselling Service seeks a part-time clinician to provide clinical assessments and brief counselling. The post involves facilitating groups/workshops and may include work with postgraduate students, training, and outreach across campus.

The role is 17.5 hours per week during term time, based at SCS premises on South Leinster Street and off-site at Trinity Halls. A pro-rated Administrative 2 salary scale applies, with flexibility to work some Saturdays as needed.

Post Summary:

The main focus of this post is the provision of clinical assessments, brief counselling, and facilitation of groups and workshops. In addition to this, the post holder will be assigned a specific brief, such as: working with postgraduate students; groups and workshops; training; psychological response team and/or work on community outreach and prevention programs.

The post holder will work in the SCS premises in South Leinster St. adjacent to the main campus, and off-site to provide services in Trinity Halls and other University locations.

The SCS currently offers lunchtime opening and late evening opening on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during term time.

Please note:This is a (0.5FTE) term time only contract from September to May inclusive. The ability to be flexible and work outside of regular office hours is essential and you may be asked to work on some Saturdays during term time depending on the business' needs.
