Job summary

Eaton Ireland is seeking a Business Development Manager – Power Distribution to drive new and existing opportunities across Ireland’s electrical infrastructure. You will engage consultants, contractors and distributors, shaping specifications and aligning Eaton's solution portfolios with customer needs.

You will combine technical insight with commercial focus, deliver CPD sessions, develop territory plans, and ensure accurate opportunity data in Salesforce, while traveling regularly across

Qualifications

• Experience in low voltage power distribution equipment, including switchgear, switchboards, circuit protection or related electrical infrastructure.
• Minimum 3 years in an electrical industry sales role, ideally involving technical, project, contractor, panel builder, consultant or channel‑focused sales.
• Proven experience working with contractors, panel builders or consultants, with strong relationship‑building and influencing skills.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify, develop and convert opportunities.
• Exposure to medium voltage solutions.
• Knowledge of specification selling and CRM tools such as Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with electrical consulting engineers, building services consultants, design practices, technical end users, main contractors and specialist contractors to influence Eaton solutions.
• Identify and develop early-stage project opportunities across Ireland and manage pipeline using Salesforce.
• Act as a trusted advisor for power distribution and related electrical infrastructure, delivering CPD presentations and technical workshops.
• Defend Eaton specifications throughout tender and procurement processes and communicate Eaton’s value proposition.
• Collaborate closely with project sales engineers, marketing, product management, channel sales teams, contractors and distribution partners.
• Track pipeline growth and convert opportunities to drive revenue and market share.
