Job summary

Collins McNicholas Recruitment is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth in Ireland’s energy, water, transport and civils sectors. This leadership role focuses on identifying new markets, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding client footprints across four business units.

You will combine commercial drive with technical understanding, collaborating with engineering and delivery teams to convert opportunities into revenue and influence bid strategies with senior clients

Qualifications

Third-level qualification in Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
Combination of technical education and commercial experience is desirable.
Proven BD, commercial, or sales experience in engineering, infrastructure, utilities, or related sectors.
Understanding of Irish energy, water, and/or transport markets including public sector clients and procurement routes.

Responsibilities

Identify and develop new markets, clients, and revenue streams across four business units in Ireland.
Generate and qualify leads aligned with the company’s strategic growth objectives.
Build and manage a strong, visible pipeline of opportunities across public and private sector clients.
Support the development and execution of medium- and long-term BD strategies.
Collaborate with marketing on sector-specific messaging and client engagement initiatives.
Work with estimating, engineering, and legal teams to develop competitive proposals and bids.
