Job summary

Eaton Ireland is seeking a Business Development Manager – Power Distribution to drive growth across Ireland's low voltage and wider portfolio, engaging consultants, contractors and distributors. You will build relationships, influence specifications, and manage opportunities within Salesforce to position Eaton as a trusted partner for safe, reliable, and sustainable electrical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience in low voltage power distribution equipment, including switchgear, switchboards, circuit protection or related electrical infrastructure.
• Minimum 3 years in an electrical industry sales role, ideally involving technical, project, contractor, panel builder, consultant or channel-focused sales.
• Proven experience working with contractors, panel builders or consultants, with strong relationship-building and influencing skills.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify, develop and convert opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Specification and design influence across low voltage and wider portfolio including MV, power quality and life safety.
• Early project engagement and territory planning to support sustainable pipeline growth.
• Act as a trusted advisor on system architecture, protection concepts, energy efficiency and sustainability requirements.
• Defend Eaton specifications through tender and procurement processes; minimize erosion during value engineering.
• Collaborate with project sales engineers, marketing, product management and channel partners; ensure handover of projects in Salesforce.
• Maintain accurate project, account and opportunity information within Salesforce.
