Job summary

FBD Insurance in Ireland is seeking a Head of Learning & Development to lead the organisation's learning and capability agenda, partnering with senior leaders to shape leadership capability, design programmes and drive succession planning.

The role provides strategic oversight of all L&D activities, governance of the Learning Management System and regulatory learning requirements, while managing budgets, external providers and driving innovative learning delivery across the business.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar Learning & Development role.
• Experience in a regulated financial services environment is advantageous.
• Proven ability to develop and implement organisation-wide learning strategies.
• Demonstrated collaboration with senior leadership to drive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the Learning & Development strategy aligned to priorities.
• Partner with executive teams to identify capability needs and priorities.
• Lead leadership, management and professional development programmes.
• Oversee capability frameworks and development pathways for career growth.
• Ensure learning solutions align to business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Drive innovation in learning methodologies and digital delivery.
• Govern LMS governance and learning technologies usage.
• Monitor regulatory and mandatory learning delivery and reporting.
• Provide leadership to the L&D team and manage external providers.
• Report learning activity and impact using metrics and insights.
• Collaborate across HR and business to support organisational change.
• Build stakeholder relationships and act as subject matter expert.
