Job summary

The role focuses on forecasting, budgeting, performance analysis and value-for-money, shaping financial planning and ensuring delivery of service plans.

You will lead a finance team, partner with budget holders, and drive continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy and financial discipline.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of the financial plan, capital plan and corporate strategies by identifying efficiencies and assessing financial risks and opportunities.
• Provide expert financial advice and challenge on strategic initiatives, business cases and service transformation projects to ensure alignment with priorities and financial sustainability.
• Support major projects and change programmes, with financial modelling, option appraisals and post implementation reviews.
• Function as a key interface between central finance and local structures, influencing decisions at a senior level and fostering collaborative relationships
