Job summary

Focus Ireland in Dublin is seeking a Head of Finance to lead day-to-day financial management, reporting and control. You will provide high-quality financial insight to support sustainable services and sound decision-making, working with the Director of Finance, IT and Administration and governance committees.

You will build a strong finance team, drive budgeting, forecasting, statutory reporting and funder compliance while maintaining robust controls and safeguarding assets across income,

Qualifications

• A recognised professional accountancy qualification with substantial post-qualification experience.
• Experience leading and developing a finance team.
• Experience in management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, statutory accounts, audit and cashflow.
• Ability to translate complex financial information for senior leaders and non-finance colleagues.
• Strong Excel and financial reporting skills with process improvement experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Finance team with clear objectives and accountability.
• Deliver monthly management accounts, reconciliations and analysis.
• Lead annual budgeting process and provide guidance to budget holders.
• Coordinate year-end accounts, external audit and regulatory reporting.
• Maintain strong financial controls and safeguarding of assets.
