Job summary

Avoca is hiring a Stockroom Assistant for the Suffolk Street store in Dublin 2. This full-time on-site position involves delivering excellent customer service, assisting with tills, and maintaining food safety and stockroom duties.

Applicants should have strong teamwork, reliable timekeeping, and good communication skills. Prior food industry experience is desirable, with training provided on HACCP and store procedures.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide high standard of customer service in-store and over the phone.
• Assist customers with queries and purchases at tills and counter.
• Maintain product knowledge and food safety standards (HACCP).
• Follow opening/closing procedures as directed by line manager.
• Support stockroom duties and store operations as needed.
• Collaborate with team to ensure a clean and organized store.

Stockroom Assistant – Avoca Suffolk Street, Dublin 2

Description

The opportunity has arisen for a full-time Stockroom Assistant to join our Suffolk Street store.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service – A high standard of customer service is required for the role, Including assisting customers in person, via phone etc.
• Previous experience working in the food industry desirable.
• Till use – scanning items and taking payments, managing queues in a timely manner.
• Good food/retail Product knowledge
• Following HACCP, Health and Safety Procedures, ensuring completion of training in all areas (training provided).
• Opening and closing duties as outlined by your line manager

Requirements

• Cleanliness/Organization is essential in this role
• Experience working in a physically demanding environment
• Excellent timekeeping is a key requirement
• Effective teamwork and communication skills is essential
