Job summary

TTM Healthcare Limited in Drogheda is seeking a Staff Grade Speech & Language Therapist to provide assessment, diagnosis and intervention for general medical patients on an acute hospital caseload. You will support dysphagia management, collaborate with an MDT and maintain detailed clinical records.

Qualifications

• Current CORU registration as a Speech & Language Therapist.
• Dysphagia training and experience are essential.
• Experience managing a general medical caseload is highly desirable.
• Willingness to undergo Garda Vetting.
• International Police Clearance if lived outside Ireland for >6 months after age 16.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-quality Speech & Language Therapy service to patients across the acute hospital.
• Manage a general medical caseload, assessing and treating patients with communication and swallowing difficulties.
• Complete comprehensive dysphagia assessments and provide management recommendations.
• Deliver evidence-based Speech & Language Therapy interventions tailored to patient needs.
• Work with the MDT, liaising with medical, nursing and allied health professionals.
• Communicate with patients, families and carers regarding assessment and ongoing management.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in line with hospital standards.
• Contribute to discharge planning and continuity of care.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Speech & Language Therapist to work with a general medical caseload, providing assessment, diagnosis and intervention for patients presenting with a range of communication and eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a high-quality Speech & Language Therapy service to patients across the acute hospital.

• Manage a general medical caseload, assessing and treating patients with a range of communication and swallowing difficulties.

• Complete comprehensive dysphagia assessments and provide appropriate management and recommendations.

• Deliver evidence-based Speech & Language Therapy interventions tailored to individual patient needs.

• Work collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary team (MDT), liaising with medical, nursing and allied health professionals.

• Communicate effectively with patients, families and carers regarding assessment, treatment and ongoing management.

• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in line with professional and hospital standards.

• Contribute to discharge planning and continuity of care as required.

Essential Requirements

• Current CORU registration as a Speech & Language Therapist.

• Dysphagia training and experience are essential.

• Experience managing a general medical caseload is highly desirable.

• Willingness to undergo Garda Vetting.

• International Police Clearance required if you have lived outside Ireland for more than 6 months after the age of 16.
