Job summary

Cpl Healthcare is partnering with the HSE and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, to recruit a Speech and Language Therapist for acute hospital services. The role focuses on assessment and intervention for adults with speech, language, voice, and swallowing difficulties.

Applicants should hold a recognised S&L Therapy qualification with CORU registration; acute-care exposure is desirable. Cross-site work and videofluoroscopy experience are a plus. Eligibility to work in Ireland is required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with CORU registration.
• Postgraduate acute-care experience is desirable for staff grade; placement experience considered.
• Dysphagia qualification and experience.
• Willingness to undertake cross-site work as required.
• Videofluoroscopy experience is desirable.
• Eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland.

The successful candidate will deliver assessment and intervention services for adults with speech, language, communication, voice, and eating, drinking or swallowing difficulties.

The Speech and Language Therapy Department provides assessment, diagnosis and treatment for adults with speech, language, communication, voice, and eating, drinking or swallowing needs.

The role involves working with patients presenting with a variety of neurological, medical and surgical conditions.

The Candidate:

• Recognised Speech and Language Therapy qualification and current CORU registration
• Postgraduate experience in an acute setting is desirable for staff grade applicants; relevant placement experience will also be considered
