Job summary

Medforce is seeking an experienced Senior Speech & Language Therapist for a full-time agency role in the Community Healthcare Network 5, covering Shankill and Cabinteely. You will lead a high-quality, community-based SLT service for adults 18+, including older persons, in clinics and patients' homes.

The role involves assessment and management of communication and dysphagia needs within a multidisciplinary team, with travel to client homes and clinics; CORU registration and IASLT dysphagia

Qualifications

• Registered with CORU or eligible for registration.
• At least 3 years post-qualification clinical experience.
• Experience working with adults and managing communication and feeding, swallowing disorders (FEDS).
• A dysphagia qualification meeting IASLT standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-quality, community-based SLT service for adults 18+, including older persons.
• Assess and manage communication and dysphagia needs in clinics and clients’ homes as part of a MDT.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to plan and deliver care.

Medforce is seeking an experienced Senior Speech & Language Therapist for a full-time agency role in Community Healthcare Network 5, covering Shankill and Cabinteely.

The successful candidate will take a lead role in delivering a high-quality, community-based service for adults aged 18+, including older people. Work will involve assessment and management of communication and dysphagia needs in clinics and clients' homes, as part of a wider multidisciplinary team.

• Grade: Senior SLT
• Hours: Full-time, 1.0 WTE
• Location: Shankill / Cabinteely
• Service: Adult Acquired, including Older Persons
• Travel: Access to a car is required for domiciliary visits

Essential requirements

• Registered, or eligible for registration, with the CORU Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board
• At least 3 years' post-qualification clinical experience
• Demonstrable experience working with adults and managing a range of communication and feeding, eating, drinking and swallowing (FEDS) disorders
• A dysphagia qualification, or equivalent, meeting IASLT standards
• Ability to maintain annual CORU registration and complete the HSE Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC)
