Job Description

The Royal Marine Hotel is looking for a positive and reliable individual to join our team as a Staff Canteen Assistant. This role is suited to someone with strong communication skills, good organisation and basic culinary ability, who takes pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for staff. This is a hands‑on role that requires consistency, attention to detail and a genuine interest in improving the staff experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning and resetting the canteen
• Stocking food, drinks, and utensils
• Presenting hot and cold meals during service
• Managing the salad station and healthy snack options
• Gathering staff feedback and supporting menu improvements
• Supporting hygiene, equipment care, and atmosphere enhancements

The Ideal Candidate

• Knowledge of HACCP policies and procedures.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with high efficiency.
• Ability to work independently as well as works well with others.
