Job summary

The Royal Marine Hotel is seeking a friendly Staff Canteen Assistant to maintain a clean, welcoming space for our team. You will handle food presentation, basic prep, and daily cleaning alongside the kitchen team, with a focus on consistency and hygiene.

This hands-on role offers regular hours from 10:00 to 15:00, five days a week, with staff benefits and opportunities to contribute ideas to improve the staff canteen experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HACCP policies and procedures.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with high efficiency.
• Ability to work independently as well as with others.
• Excellent communication skills, with a good level of English.
• Must be professional, well presented, friendly and reliable.
• Has basic food preparation skills.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and resetting the canteen.
• Stocking food, drinks, and utensils.
• Presenting hot and cold meals during service.
• Managing the salad station and healthy snack options.
• Gathering staff feedback and supporting menu improvements.
• Supporting hygiene, equipment care, and atmosphere enhancements.
