The Royal Marine Hotel is seeking a friendly Staff Canteen Assistant to maintain a clean, welcoming space for our team. You will handle food presentation, basic prep, and daily cleaning alongside the kitchen team, with a focus on consistency and hygiene.

This hands-on role offers regular hours from 10:00 to 15:00, five days a week, with staff benefits and opportunities to contribute ideas to improve the staff canteen experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HACCP policies and procedures.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with high efficiency.
• Ability to work independently as well as with others.
• Excellent communication skills, with a good level of English.
• Must be professional, well presented, friendly and reliable.
• Has basic food preparation skills.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and resetting the canteen.

The Royal Marine Hotel is looking for a positive and reliable individual to join our team as a Staff Canteen Assistant. This role is suited to someone with strong communication skills, good organisation and basic culinary ability, who takes pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for staff. This is a hands-on role that requires consistency, attention to detail and a genuine interest in improving the staff experience.

Job Description

This is a hands-on role focused on the daily running of the staff canteen. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning, stocking, food presentation and working closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service. Over time, the role will expand to include more ownership of the space, creative input into food offerings and involvement in improvement projects.

Work schedule: 10.00 - 15.00, 5 days/week
