Jobgether in Ireland is seeking a Staff Backend Software Engineer to help build and evolve a mission-critical transaction platform for secure cryptocurrency transfers between financial institutions, fintechs and exchanges worldwide.

You will work primarily with Go and PostgreSQL, shape core architectural decisions, improve platform scalability, and mentor engineers in a remote-first, collaborative environment with product, compliance and customer-facing teams.

Competenze

• Proven backend engineering experience delivering complex projects end-to-end.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and data integrity.
• Experience with Go or a statically typed backend language.
• Deep PostgreSQL knowledge and multi-tenant data management.
• Cloud experience (AWS or GCP) and Terraform familiarity.
• Familiar with AI coding agents and secure production practices.
• Excellent written communication in a remote environment.
• Understanding of cryptography, compliance, and regulated finance.

Mansioni

• Design, develop, and maintain core components of a distributed transaction platform.
• Ensure data correctness, tenant isolation, and auditability.
• Improve scalability with increasing transaction volumes and institutions.
• Produce technical design documents and review architectural proposals.
• Integrate AI coding agents into daily workflows with safe production output.
• Collaborate with product, compliance, and customer teams to meet regulatory needs.
• Own production systems including tracing, alerts, and incident response.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering standards.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support platform reliability.
