Job summary

Jobgether SRL is partnering to hire a Full-Stack Engineer (Backend Leaning) – Payments Engineering based in Ireland. You will build and evolve payment infrastructure powering a rapidly growing AI platform, covering billing, usage tracking, pricing, and payment processing for self-service and enterprise customers.

You will own secure, scalable APIs and backend services, drive migrations, and collaborate with Finance, Tax, Product, Growth and Sales to ensure revenue accuracy and reliable financial

Qualifications

• Strong Python expertise with maintainable, reliable code.
• Backend engineering experience across production systems.
• Solid understanding of APIs, cloud infra, storage, data structures.
• Strong testing design, automated tests, and security fundamentals.
• Ability to investigate complex issues via logs and metrics.
• Ability to understand large codebases and complex infra.
• Attention to financial accuracy when modifying live payments.
• Plan and execute safe migrations with minimal disruption.
• Proactive ownership and sound technical decisions.
• Strong cross-functional communication across teams.
• Flexible qualifications demonstrated via projects or open source.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain payment and billing systems for transactions, pricing, and revenue operations.
• Build usage-tracking and metering to measure customer activity with low latency.
• Lead migrations and modernization of pricing/usage-infra with stream-processing.
• Improve payment experiences across upgrades and multi-entity payments.
• Collaborate with Finance and Tax for compliance and reporting.
• Partner with Product/Growth to implement pricing changes.
• Investigate and resolve billing issues by analyzing journeys and logs.
• Design secure, scalable APIs and backend services.
• Plan migrations carefully to avoid disruption.
• Work with Sales, FDEs, Finance, and other stakeholders on robust solutions.
• Maintain high standards for testing, security, observability, and reliability.
• Own technical challenges from design to deployment and monitoring.
