Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Backend Developer (Go) to architect and build scalable backend systems for an energy trading platform. You will leverage deep Go expertise, implement high-throughput services, and work in an AI-assisted development environment to accelerate delivery while upholding engineering standards.

The role emphasizes TDD, security, and performance optimization, with collaboration across product, frontend, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of backend software development experience with system architecture responsibility.
• Strong proficiency in Go for production-grade services; Rust is a plus.
• Experience optimizing high-throughput, low-latency systems and diagnosing performance bottlenecks.
• Database design, query optimization, and efficient data storage/retrieval.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services with focus on performance, reliability, and security.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
• Translate business requirements into technical specs and actionable tasks for AI agents and developers.
• Review PRs from humans and AI agents, ensuring architectural alignment and code quality.
• Collaborate with product managers and frontend teams on critical features and architecture.
• Promote TDD and maintain automated test coverage within CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and optimize database schemas across relational, key-value, and time-series stores.
• Apply secure coding practices and meet security/compliance requirements.
• Monitor latency, throughput, and resource usage for high-demand workloads.
• Contribute to distributed system design and mentor engineers.
