Job summary

Carton House, a five-star Fairmont-managed hotel in Ireland, is seeking a Receptionist to join the Spa & Wellness team. You will greet guests, manage arrivals and departures, assist with queries, and promote hotel services while maintaining a warm, professional image.

The role requires excellent English, strong guest service skills, and previous experience in a similar position. Shifts are 6am-2pm or 2-10pm, including mid-week and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
• Excellent spoken & written English.
• A good understanding of hotel operation.
• Knowledge of booking and POS system a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Present a professional appearance and ensure all guests receive a genuine courteous welcome on arrival/ departure.
• To anticipate guests needs whenever possible in order to enhance quality of service and exceed clients expectations.
• To assist in positively promoting service / products within the Resort and maximize every sales opportunity.
• Be aware of Resort promotions or special activities.
• Continually aim to improve our guests experience, ensure our highest levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Requirements

• Excellent people skills.

• Previous experience in a similar role is essential.

• Shift work and flexibility is required in this position - applicants must be available for 6am -2pm or 2-10pm rosters including mid-week and weekends.
