Job summary

Carton House, A Fairmont Managed Hotel, located in Maynooth, Ireland, invites applications for a Food & Beverage Assistant to join our five-star team. You will greet guests warmly, learn the menu and wine list, and support upselling efforts while maintaining exceptional service standards.

The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of F&B experience in a luxury property, excellent English communication, and a structured approach to work. Training, meals, and a supportive team are provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role within a 4/5* property.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Structured and organized approach to work planning.
• Understanding of hotel food and beverage operation.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and tend to them in a professional manner.
• Represent Carton House's passion for customer service and ensure guests have a memorable experience.
• Familiarize yourself with the menu, specials, ingredients, beverages and wine list.
• Upsell through sales and promotional activity where possible.
• Ensure F&B products are served to the company standard of presentation.

We are currently recruiting Food & Beverage Assistants to join our excellent Food and Beverage team at Carton House.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that all guests are greeted in a warm and courteous fashion and tended to in a professional manner.
• Represent Carton House's passion for customer service, proactively ensuring each guest has the memorable experience expected at Carton House.
• To always be familiar with product offering (i.e. the menu, specials and ingredients, beverages on offer, wine list, etc).
• Familiarize yourself with sales and promotional activity and up sell at every possible opportunity.
• Ensure that all Food and Beverage products are served efficiently and in accordance with the Company standard of presentation.
• Carry out cash handling procedures in accordance with Company policy.

The successful candidate will have:

• A real understanding of hotel food and beverage operation.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Excellent communication skills with excellent spoken & written English.
• Minimum 1 years' experience in a similar role within a 4/5* property.
• A structured and organized approach to work planning.
