Job summary

The Panel is seeking a Banking Payments Solution Architect to join a major Payments transformation programme in Dublin. This hands-on architecture role centers on real-time Faster Payments, SEPA, and ISO 20022 messaging within a hybrid work setup.

You will own end-to-end architecture, design payment orchestration, and lead governance reviews, ensuring robust controls across the payment journey in a regulated FS environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years in solution architecture with 5+ years in large-scale payments transformation.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 20022 and real-time payments ecosystems.
• Experience with payment hubs/engines and integration with core banking platforms.
• Experience across Kafka, containerisation (Kubernetes/OpenShift/Docker) and AWS.
• Experience in a regulated financial services environment.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solution architecture for the payments programme.
• Design payment orchestration, message transformation, and ISO 20022 messaging.
• Architect compliance, fraud, and funds-verification controls across the journey.
• Define event-driven, microservices-based integration patterns (Kafka or equivalent).
• Lead architecture governance and design authority reviews.
