Job summary

Activ8 Solar Energies are seeking Roofers or qualified Carpenters to join our installations teams based out of Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan.

This is a full-time permanent position with a competitive salary, pension, healthcare and additional benefits. You will install Solar PV systems on residential buildings and ground-mounted sites, with six weeks of industry-specific training provided to get you up to speed with our standards and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Roofer or qualified Carpenter, or experience in Cladding/Industrial glazing.
• Ability to work at heights with harness.
• Willingness to travel nationwide and live within one hour of Carrickmacross.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.

The Opportunity

As a Solar PV Installer you will be responsible for the installation of our Solar PV Systems on residential buildings & ground mounted systems. You will receive 6 weeks of complete and thorough industry-specific training.

Responsibilities Include:

• Install Solar Panels on residential homes to the highest of standards.


• Ensuredeadlines are met for upcoming installations and projects.


• Engagewith our customers and provideinformation and advice on work being undertaken.


• Work with the team to ensure projects are completed on time.


• Keep accurate records of all work performed and materials used.


• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a Roofer and/or a qualified Carpenter or have previous experience in Cladding/Industrial glazing.


• Previous experience working at heights with a the use of a harness.


• Previous solar experience is desirable


• Must live within one hour of Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan.


• Must be willing to do nationwide travel.


• Must have a full Clean Driver's Licence.


• The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.


• Up to date knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and control Health and Safety aspects on site.


• Excellent organisational and planning skills along with a positive attitude for dealing with customers.

Schedule
