Activ8 Solar Energies are seeking Roofers or qualified Carpenters to join our installations teams based out of Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan. This is a full-time permanent position inclusive of a competitive salary, bonus, pension, healthcare and additional benefits.

As a Solar PV Installer you will be responsible for installing solar PV systems on residential buildings and ground-mounted systems, with six weeks of comprehensive industry training.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years’ experience as Roofer or qualified Carpenter.
Live within one hour of Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan.
Willing to do nationwide travel.
Full Clean Driver's Licence.
Up to date Health and Safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

Install Solar Panels on residential homes to the highest standards.
Ensure deadlines are met for upcoming installations and projects.
Engage with customers and provide information and advice on work being undertaken.
Work with the team to ensure projects are completed on time.
Keep accurate records of all work performed and materials used.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.

The Opportunity

As a Solar PV Installer you will be responsible for the installation of our Solar PV Systems on residential buildings & ground mounted systems. You will receive 6 weeks of complete and thorough industry-specific training.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a Roofer and/or a qualified Carpenter or have previous experience in Cladding/Industrial glazing.
Previous experience working at heights with a the use of a harness.
Previous solar experience is desirable
Must live within one hour of Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan.
Must be willing to do nationwide travel.
Must have a full Clean Driver's Licence.
The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Up to date knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and control Health and Safety aspects on site.
Excellent organisational and planning skills along with a positive attitude for dealing with customers.
