Job summary

Avista Dublin 15 & Dublin 7 are seeking a Social Care Worker for the Day Service. The 35‑hour, permanent part‑time role requires QQI Level 7 or higher in Social Care and CORU registration or active application.

Successful candidates will support people with intellectual disabilities in a community setting, using a person‑centred, holistic approach. Proficiency in English, a full clean driving licence, and willingness to work across locations are essential.

• QQI Level 7 (or higher) qualification in Social Care/Applied Social Studies or equivalent, the award must be considered eligible for CORU Social Care registration.
• Up to date CORU registration or Confirmation of application for registration submitted to CORU.
• Proficiency in the English language.
• Experience working within the area of intellectual disability and those who have behaviours of concern.
• To adopt a holistic and person centre approach to your role to ensure people are supported to live their best lives.
• Have an awareness of New Directions.
• Willingness to support persons to develop skills and competencies around identified areas of interest and learning.
• Full clean Manual driving licence & to drive service vehicle.
• Applicants should possess Level 1 behavioural competencies of Avista competency framework.
