Job summary

Avista is seeking Care Assistants for CRS, Dublin Services, to support people with Intellectual Disabilities in community settings. This is an ongoing recruitment campaign to fill active vacancies and to create a panel for future vacancies across the CRS service.

Applicants should hold FETAC/QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or equivalent and demonstrate English proficiency; a full clean manual Irish driving licence is desirable. Avista is an equal opportunities employer with generous benefits.

Salary: €34,881-€48,434* (lsi)

Essential

• Minimum of Fully Completed FETAC/QQI level 5 in Healthcare qualification or (higher) equivalent comparable qualification.
• Experience working within the area of intellectual disability or working with people who have a diagnosis of Autism and Behaviours of Concern.
• Proficiency in the English language.

Desirable

• Full clean manual Irish driving licence.
• Desire to support people to live their best lives and commitment to promoting the active engagement and participation of Service Users in their local communities.
• Willingness to support persons to develop skills and competencies around identified areas of interest and learning.

Applicants should possess Level 1 behavioural competencies of Avista competency framework.
