Job summary

Avista invites applications for Relief Staff Nurse in Community Residential Services, Limerick. The role requires NMBI registration, a full clean driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

You will work with individuals with intellectual disabilities in a person-centred, community-based setting across Avista locations. We value leadership, teamwork and the ability to manage complex care needs, with support for mentoring staff and collaboration with HIQA standards.

Qualifications

*Salary subject to Relevant Public Sector Experience and pro-rated for hours of work.

• NMBI Registration.
• Be committed to pro-actively supporting individuals in all aspects of their daily lives and choices
• through a person-centred approach.
• Have proven organisational, leadership, communication, interpersonal and teambuilding skills.
• Ability to network with external agencies, PHN's, GP's, acute hospitals etc.
• Experience of working in an interdisciplinary /multidisciplinary team.
• Have ability to manage a caseload and to work on own initiative.
• Have a full clean manual Irish driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Proficiency in the English language.
• Experience working in community setting providing supports to people with intellectual disabilities.
• Have a good knowledge of HIQA Standards and the PCP framework.
• Excellent leadership skills and the ability to work on your own initiative.
• Have experience of working with Behaviours of Concern and complex care needs and supporting mentoring staff teams in the delivery of high-quality care to the Supported Individuals.
• Level 1 behavioural competencies of Avista competency framework as set out in the job description
