Job summary

AA Euro Healthcare are recruiting a Social Care Worker for a residential childcare setting in Carlow. You will support day‑to‑day care and therapeutic development for children and young people, working with a supportive team.

You will implement Care and Placement Plans, support education and wellbeing, record progress, liaise with families and professionals, and uphold safeguarding and HIQA standards. QQI Level 7 in Social Care is required, with experience in residential care and a valid Ireland

Qualifications

• QQI Level 7 qualification in Social Care or related discipline
• Experience working with children or vulnerable young people
• Experience supporting individuals with complex or challenging needs
• Understanding of trauma-informed care and child development
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to remain calm and resilient under pressure
• Experience in residential care settings
• Knowledge of HIQA standards
• Eligibility to work in Ireland without sponsorship
• Full clean manual driving licence (Ireland)

• Provide tailored care and support in line with individual Care and Placement Plans
• Support education, behaviour management, wellbeing, and personal development
• Monitor and accurately record progress, incidents, and daily care
• Liaise with families, social workers, and other professionals
• Maintain safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality, and company standards
• Support staff, trainees, teamwork, training, and the smooth running of the home
• Complete required administrative, financial, household, and reporting duties
• Undertake shift-leading and other reasonable duties when required

This is an fantastic opportunity for an experienced social care worker who`s passionate working with young people in a residential setting.

Role Overview

The Social Care Worker plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day care and therapeutic development of children and young people living in the residential services. Essential Requirements
