Job summary

Cavan-based residential care provider is seeking a Social Care Team Leader to oversee a care team and support day-to-day operations in a busy centre. The role requires a strong leader with experience guiding staff and ensuring high standards of care for young people.

Competitive salary with annual increments, paid induction and ongoing professional development; 12- and 24-hour shifts including nights/weekends are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ relevant social care experience with children/young people.
• Strong communication, organisation and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of care practices and regulatory requirements.

Our client is a leading social care provider offering support to young people in a residential setting. They are currently looking for a Social Care Team Leader to join their team in Cavan.

The role:

• Lead and support a residential care team
• Support the day-to‑day running of the centre
• Promote positive outcomes for young people
• Support staff development and practice
• Work alongside a multidisciplinary therapeutic team
• Contribute to Placement Plan objectives and quality care

The ideal candidate will have:

• 2+ years’ relevant social care experience with children/young people
• Level 7/8 qualification in Social Care or a relevant discipline
• Full manual driving licence and eligibility to drive in Ireland
• Strong communication, organisation and leadership skills
• Knowledge of care practices and regulatory requirements
• Compassionate, empathetic and patient approach
• Flexibility to work 12 & 24-hour shifts, including nights/weekends
