Job summary

SSA Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a Main Contractor project in Cork. The role involves full on-site day-to-day management, coordination of subcontractors, and ensuring works are delivered to specifications within the project timeline.

You will report to the Project Manager, supervise on-site personnel, and uphold high safety, environmental and quality standards across the site. A carpentry trade qualification and strong communication skills are essential.

• Extensive experience in managing sub-contractors and on-site teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day on-site operations and supervise on-site personnel and subcontractors.
• Support Project Manager to deliver the project on time and within budget while upholding safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Liaise with project manager, site personnel, commercial team and other relevant stakeholders.
• Inspect works to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Handle on-site incidents proactively and implement the Safety Management System.

I am seeking a Site Manager on behalf of a highly reputable Main Contractor for a project in Cork.

Your main duties will include, but not be limited to:

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for complete day to day operations of the site, including the coordination and supervision of on-site personnel and sub-contractors. You will have sole responsibility for the resolution of any day to day issues arising on site during the duration of the project.

• Supporting the Project Manager in delivering the project on time and within budget, whilst maintaining high safety, environmental and quality standards
• Liaising with Project Manager, site personnel, commercial team, and other relevant personnel
• Managing sub-contractors, engineering and operational staff and personnel on site
• Inspect works in progress/completed work to make sure complies with project specifications
• Handle onsite incidents and matters in a proactive manner
• Managing and implementing of the Safety Management System

To be successful in your application you will possess the following:

• Trade Qualifications (Carpentry), or Construction related qualification
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office Package
• Extensive experience in management of sub-contractors.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and manage personnel.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience work at Foreman/Site Manager level
